Having the opportunity to have Mass in your home with your neighbours and family has a long tradition in the parish but can only continue with everyone’s help. Parish Envelopes: Spare Boxes available in Church If you have not got an envelope box issued in your name, you may take a spare box, also available in both Churches and write your name on the First envelope you use.

On St Patrick’s Day, March 17th, at noon, Portumna will host the annual parade. All participants, floats, clubs and individuals are requested to register in Portumna Post Office by March 15th. Guidelines and information is available on the form and keep an eye on the Facebook page (St Patricks Day Parade in Portumna) for updates and information. Our Irish Women’ Exhibition: Abbey and District Heritage Group is hosting ‘Our Irish Women’ Exhibition in Abbey Community Centre from 15th to 22nd March. To celebrate the contribution of one local Irish Woman, Aggie Whyte, a traditional music afternoon with local Musicians will be held in Abbey Community Centre, Abbey, on Bank Holiday Monday 18th March starting at 3 pm with special guest Máirín Fahy, niece of Aggie Whyte.
